All you’ll need is:
1 packet of pastry
3-5 Apples thinly sliced.
Cinnamon Butter – Butter, sugar and cinnamon
Pastry Brush/Knife for spreading.
Baking Tray/Cupcake Tray
Icing sugar for dusting
Bowl of hot water, with some lemon juice (for the apple slices)
Method:
1. Slice the apples, place into your bowl of hot water for 5mins. Strain and pat dry the apples.
2. Roll out your pastry, then cut into thick strips.
3. Brush the cinnamon butter onto the strips.
4. Place the apples midway along the strip leaving some space to fold the pastry over.
5. Fold the pastry over on each strip.
6. Roll the strips up, place on your tray.
Preheat your oven to 175C. Bake until golden brown, dust with some icing sugar.
TIP: If you haven’t invested in a cupcake tray, try using some tin foil strips around the tart to keep it intact whilst baking.
