Gluten free chocolate cake
Recipe and preparation:
For the cake:
2 eggs
60ml Sunflower oil
60ml Maple syrup
100ml Milk
120g (1/2 cup) Apple puree
140g (1 cup) Buckwheat flour
25g (1/4 cup) cacao powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 tsp Baking soda
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Vanilla extract
bake at 175°C/350°F for 30-32 minutes
For Chocolate sauce/ ganache:
60g/2 ounces dark chocolate
140ml cream
1 tbsp cacao powder
– blend all cake ingredients until smooth
– prepare 18 cm/7 inches diameter baking pan with parchment paper
– bake at 175°C/350°F for 30-32 minutes
– chop dark chocolate, bring the cream to a simmer, combine with the chopped chocolate, add cacao powder, mix well
– pour over the cake
